Self Esteem (the creative moniker of Rebecca Lucy Taylor) is a local lass, hailing from Rotherham. After Mercury and BRIT Award nominations for her 2021 album, Prioritise Pleasure, Taylor has established herself as “one to watch” – one of Britain’s most exciting up and coming artists. Her work is celebrated for its relatability and truth, exploring taboo topics and pushing political boundaries. Her music holds both vulnerability and power – celebrating and navigating womanhood and human nature.

Further cementing herself as a true star, Taylor doesn’t only shine as a singer – in 2024 she demonstrated her acting skills in Sky’s Smothered before taking to the West End as Sally Bowles in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club performing opposite Scissor Sisters frontman, Jake Shears. Already a fixture on magazine covers and national TV, Self Esteem’s cultural impact now spans music, theatre, and screen.

Following the release of her third critically acclaimed record, A Complicated Woman, Self Esteem has announced her biggest tour to date. Like her music, Self Esteem concerts are known for their intimacy, power, community and catharsis. After 14 shows across the UK and Ireland, Taylor is bringing the tour home to South Yorkshire with her biggest Sheffield show to date this Saturday 18 October.

Supporting her on tour are Moonchild Sanelly – who collaborated with Taylor on their song ‘Big Man’ – and Nadine Shah, who features on ‘Lies’ from Taylor’s recent album.

Since its release, A Complicated Woman has been embraced by fans and critics alike and marks yet another high point in a career built on fearlessly telling the truth.

Taylor has continued to raise expectations throughout her career and her 2025 tour is sure to be just as bold and brilliant as she is. The tour has been sold out bar this weekend's Sheffield date, so get those tickets now HERE!
