For the first time in seven years, pop princess Katy Perry is touring again!
Since her 2008 debut record, One of the Boys, Katy Perry has risen to pop royalty and has become one of the best-selling pop artists in the world. With more than 115 billion streams, over 70 million adjusted album sales, and 143 million tracks sold worldwide, she holds the title of the biggest-selling female artist in Capitol Records history. With seven Diamond-certified titles and 57+ million monthly Spotify listeners, Katy Perry is one of the most iconic and celebrated artists on the planet (and off… if you count her Blue Origin space excursion earlier this year!).
Katy’s latest album, 143, released in September 2024. The title represents the number of letters in the phrase “I love you” and is also Katy’s “angel number”. Following its release, Katy announced that she would be taking the new album on tour and is bringing along fan favourites from her previous bodies of work. The sell-out tour kicked off earlier this year in Mexico, followed by the United States, Australia, Canada and South America. The next leg of the tour is Europe, where Katy will perform 8 UK shows. On October 10th, Katy will hit the stage in Sheffield for the fourth time in her career!
Not only has Katy been widely recognised for her musical achievements, she is also celebrated for her big heart with many awards honouring her activism. Katy is particularly passionate about providing children with opportunities to shine, and works as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador as well as the founder of the Firework Foundation. She uses her large platform to raise awareness and stand up for causes such as LGBTQ+ equality. Whether it’s breaking records, giving back, or creating the kind of songs fans will sing forever, Katy Perry continues to light up the world with her music, her passion, and her unstoppable energy.
Fans can expect to hear all of their favourite songs from Katy’s wide discography, from huge anthems like Firework and Part of Me to the upbeat smash hits like Teenage Dream and California Gurls. With The Lifetimes Tour, Katy announces an exciting new era in her record-breaking pop career, one UK fans will not want to miss and tickets are still available from the Sheffield Utilita Arena website!
