What's better than a show from one of the seminal bands of the 21st Century - Well how about a show from two of them, in the same evening. Well, at Sheffield Arena in November 2026, we're being treated to just that as Bloc Party and Interpol roll into the Steel City for a co-headline show.
Both bands were seen as trailblazers when they first came through, on either side of the pond. Bloc Party here in the UK with their post-punk hooks and electronic textures, Interpol in New York City with their signature dark, atmospheric soundscapes. Both shot straight to the forefront of their indie scenes with critically and commercially successful debut albums and have now graduated from up and comers to some of the biggest bands and biggest stages in the world.
Now these two genre-defining and era-defining outfits will be coming together for a huge 18 date tour across the UK and Europe. Kicking off in Copenhagen on 10th November at the Royal Arena, before heading through Berlin, Paris, and Amsterdam, and reaching the UK on 20th November for a first show at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena.
The run continues with dates in Cardiff, Sheffield (28th), Dublin and Glasgow, alongside two nights in Manchester and Brighton, before culminating with two huge closing shows at London’s Olympia on 4th and 5th December.
The tour will see two of the most influential acts of the last three decades performing songs from across their 20 year-spanning discographies, including Bloc Party’s seminal debut Silent Alarm and exceptional follow up A Weekend In The City and Interpol’s landmark sophomore album Antics. Having previously toured the UK together in 2004 and co-headlined a series of shows in Australia in 2023, the two bands will bring their longstanding partnership back to the UK and Europe, giving fans the chance to hear some of their most defining songs live once again.
We last saw Bloc Party at Tramlines in 2023 headlining T'Other Stage on the Friday evening. Kele and the band made sure to treat us to the perfect blend of old and new, frantic post-punk and touching love songs, all blending into a showcase of every inch of Bloc Party’s brilliance. The tent was raucous, if there was a kinetic dancefloor in there for that set it could have powered the whole rest of the festival.
Tickets for these landmark shows go on general sale at 9am GMT on Friday 7th November; fans signing up to the bands’ mailing lists will receive access to a pre-sale from 9am GMT on Wednesday 5th November. The full list of dates is below, visit HERE for more information and to purchase.
