Lunchtime Talk: Tess Jaray’s Early Work

Curator Natalie Rudd explores the emergence of Tess Jaray in the 1960s, focusing on her creative development and the key works in the current exhibition.




Steel City Beer and Cider Festival

Kelham Island hosts the return of the Steel City Beer & Cider Festival, featuring cask ales, craft beers, cider, street food, and live entertainment.

Curator Tour: Sharing People’s Stories at Kelham Island Museum

A Passion for Prints: Odilon Redon

David Alston leads a tour of A Passion for Prints, showcasing Sheffield’s impressive print collection. He will offer insights into key works, particularly those by French artist Odilon Redon, providing a deeper understanding of the exhibition.



Acts of Creation: On Art and Motherhood

Curated by Hettie Judah, this exhibition explores the multifaceted experience of motherhood through over 100 artworks, spanning the feminist avant-garde to contemporary art. With themes of creation, caregiving, and loss, it delves into the heartaches and joys of motherhood, showcasing the artist as a mother in a series of compelling self-portraits.

The Story of Diwali

Celebrate the festival of lights with a vibrant performance of traditional Indian theatre, dance, and music, organized by SuNrit Culture Group. This festive show brings the story of Diwali to life in a colorful and joyful display.



The Boy with a Leg Named Brian: Pete McKee Exhibition

Celebrating the 1970s through the lens of Sheffield artist Pete McKee, this exhibition reflects on formative moments of childhood, popular culture, and nostalgia.

From creating swifts at Kelham Island Museum to contributing to a giant collaborative artwork at Weston Park, families can enjoy interactive activities exploring Sheffield’s art and heritage.



Time for Tea

Ongoing display through Sun 7 Sep 2025, Free Entry

This new display honors the British tradition of enjoying tea together. It features recent additions to Sheffield’s Metalwork Collection, including Britannia metal vessels from the 1780s to 1860s, showcasing teapots and containers for loose leaf tea. Collaborating with Xenia, a social group for women learning English in Sheffield, the exhibit also includes reflections on tea culture alongside artworks and objects from the city's Visual Art, Industrial, and Social History collections.
