Following the success of Together in the City in 2022, Sheffield Theatres' community festival of fun returns this week with more creative projects from community groups across the city.
Together Too is a two-day (Friday 28th and Saturday 29th July) celebration of community and different art forms, with installations, exhibitions and workshops in and around the Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse.
On Friday 28th July, the projects will follow the theme of ‘Stories of the City.’ This will include performances from community theatre companies, writers’ groups, stand-up comedy, and choirs, all creatively put together for adults to enjoy. Events will begin from 1pm on the day, continuing until 8:30pm.
On Saturday 29th July, we’ll have the theme of ‘City of Dreams,’ perfect for children, young people and families to participate in many creative workshops. Beginning the family-friendly fun from 10am, these activities will go on until 10pm, involving building your own city of dreams, arts and crafts, baton-making, live music, drag, and many performances in the Playhouse.
The wide and diverse variety in performances include dance, theatre, film, new writing extracts, and a fabulous, feminist fantasy costume catwalk!
All events will be free drop-ins, so no pre-booking is necessary!
