Crossed Wires 2024: The UK's Biggest Podcast Festival Starts in Sheffield this Summer!

We all love a podcast…


Whether as the soundtrack to your morning routine, hot-girl power walk, working-from-home days or to help you nod off, podcasts have become an essential part of our daily entertainment.


The biggest, and most beloved, names in the business are coming to Sheffield. Launching this Summer, Crossed Wires is set to be podcasting's biggest party, assembling the nation's top names in one city, for one big weekend of special podcast events. We cannot wait!


From Friday 31st May - Sunday 2nd June, Sheffield's most iconic venues will be packed for blockbuster live shows, never-seen-before performances, and special guests, all to be hosted by the biggest names in podcasting. The shows range from comedy, current affairs, culture, sport, family, and well-being – all bases covered for Crossed Wires 2024.


Drum roll, please! The lineup so far includes:

  • The Adam Buxton Show with special guest Self Esteem at Oval Room, City Hall

  • Katherine Ryan: Telling Everybody Everything LIVE with special guest at Oval Room, City Hall

  • TalkArt with Russell Tovey and Robert Diament at Ballroom, City Hall

  • NewlyWeds with Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo at Oval Room, City Hall

  • Wolf and Owl with Tom Davis and Romesh Ranganathan at Oval Room, City Hall

  • Uncanny: I Know What I Saw with Danny Robins at the Lyceum

  • Jon Ronson at Ballroom, City Hall

  • Brown Girls Do It Too with Poppy Jay and Rubina Pabani at Ballroom, City Hall


Expect to bump into the voices you always have in your headphones at one of the pop-ups, or rub shoulders with your favourite presenters at one of the many after-parties. Sign us up! You can be sure to expect more announcements and a few surprises too…There'll also be a festival fringe in venues around the city, along with free events showcasing the podcast stars of tomorrow. The country’s biggest podcasts are ready to take Sheffield by storm this summer, and we’re ready and waiting!
