Clear your calendars for Sunday 7 December as much-loved Kelham venues The Mowbray and Victoria are bringing back their boutique Christmas markets for ‘Festive Festival’.

Celebrating the best of Sheffield, the family friendly event features independent local makers and creators, and music (including local Christmas choirs), and is set within the backdrop of two historic venues.

The makers involved include illustrators, ceramicists, clothing designers, printmakers, jewellers, homeware creators, and food makers - a great chance to buy gifts direct from the people who created them and support Sheffield’s burgeoning creative community. You can find the full list of wonderful businesses that will be in attendance at the bottom of this article.

There will be three choirs performing throughout the day at the Victoria too to truly get you in the Christmas spirit. From 11am: The Voice Academy, from 1pm: Tracks (a fun, inclusive singing group created to support emerging soloists and raise the charity’s profile), and from 4pm: Tim Peter’s Great Big Christmas singalong will all provide some welcome entertainment to go with your shopping.

Whilst adults will enjoy a good mooch about, there’s activities for little ones too! Children’s book author and illustrator Bethan Woollvin will lead a special fairytale story time of Hansel and Gretel and festive decoration crafting session at the stage upstairs at the Victoria at 12pm and 2pm.

On offer at the Mowbray will be delightfully merry food and drink, with options being a turkey butty (British turkey, stuffing, cranberry and bread sauce) at £12, and a veggie Christmas pasty (caramelised onion, potato, cheddar) at £9. Both must be pre-ordered in advance and are available 11:30 – 16:00. Both venues will offer festive drinks, cakes and other treats. There will also be a pop-up mulled wine and mince pie bar in the Victoria’s courtyard, with a vintage Volkswagen photobooth to capture the joy of the day.

Festive Festival takes place on Sunday 7 December 2025, with two time slots at 11:00 - 14:00 or 14:00 - 17:00. The two venues are within close walking distance of each other at The Mowbray (118 Mowbray Street) and Victoria (1 Rowland Street), Neepsend.

Tickets are £5 for adults (includes a festive tipple), free for children, and can be purchased (pre-book your food also) here.
