One of the 2010's most iconic duos, Pitbull aka Mr Worldwide, and Kesha, have recently been announced to play at Leeds' American Express presents Roundhay Festival!
With huge hits including ‘Don’t Stop the Party’, ‘Hotel Room Service’, ‘Time of Our Lives’, ‘Give Me Everything’, ‘Fireball’ and ‘Get On The Floor’, Grammy Award winning Pitbull has secured his place as one of the biggest names in the pop world.
Pitbull’s 15-date sold-out Party After Dark European tour earlier this year, was hugely successful and became a social media sensation! You probably saw the thousands of bald cap adorning fans, 'The Bald E's', gathered in mass at arenas across the globe on TikTok and Instagram. Proudly wearing bald caps and sunglasses in honour of Mr Worldwide's signature look, the fan movement celebrated Pitbull's iconic image with humour and creativity... Rolling Stone UK even described Pitbull’s show as “the only cult I’d ever want to join. We expect the Bald E's of Leeds to be out in full force for this show, so get your outfit prepared!
Joining Mr. Worldwide is another pop icon from the same era who needs no introduction. Kesha burst onto the scene on 2009 with her record-breaking debut single 'TiK ToK', which became one of the best-selling digital singles of all time. She quickly followed it with global anthems like 'We R Who We R' and 'Die Young', cementing her place as one of the defining voices of the 2010s. Alongside her own hits, she also topped charts worldwide featuring on Pitbull's 'Timber', so seeing these two together on the same lineup is particularly exciting.
Roundhay Park is not new to hosting legendary names in music, having the likes of Madonna, The Rolling Stones and, more recently, Ed Sheeran. Launched in collaboration with Leeds City Council, Roundhay Festival will bring iconic names back to the park whilst delivering substantial benefits to the local area. Following the success of AEG’s other festivals, Roundhay will engage local suppliers, employ local staff, and boost spending on accommodation, food and entertainment. The festival’s midweek programme of free-to-access activities for all ages will also offer high-quality arts, culture and wellbeing activities, providing a platform for local talent and encouraging continuous use of the park during the summer.
Us Sheffielders really appreciate events that operate responsibly, and you'll be pleased to find out that Roundhay Festival is committed to creating a sustainable future for live music. From powering the festival responsibly to managing waste and partnering with local food vendors, the festival will continually refine its policies to minimise environmental impact while maximising benefits for the local community.
Pitbull will headline on Friday 3 July 2026, with Kesha performing the same day, and many more artists to be announced. Lewis Capaldi has already been announced as the headliner for Saturday 4 July, with more artists across multiple stages to be announced. Tickets are on general sale now, so make sure to not miss out on the time of your life (pun well and truly intended), and book now here!
