Causeway: Famous Faces Set to Attend Fundraising Gala in Sheffield

Roll out the red carpet and put on your best gown because the biggest night in the Sheffield social calendar is here! Causeway’s Fundraising Gala Evening, set to take place on Thursday September 21st at the Millennium Gallery, is a star-studded event with a worthy cause at its heart.

Running for almost 20 years, Causeway is a Sheffield-based charity both raising awareness of modern slavery, human trafficking and criminal reduction and supporting survivors to make progress moving forward with their lives. Whilst official government figures estimate that there were nearly 17,000 potential trafficking victims in 2022, the real number is more likely to be over 100,000. Causeway are here to change that. They provide safe-houses, crisis support groups and community connection groups as well as referring people for counselling, training courses and volunteering opportunities. The work they do makes a vital difference in the life of marginalized and vulnerable people.

If this isn’t enough to convince you to join Causeway for this amazing night, then I’m sure the line-up for the night will. TV personality and fitness guru, Mr Motivator, is the latest celebrity to join the line-up for the evening as the raffle host. He’ll be there alongside Bridgerton star Ruby Barker, and Jacob Dudman, best known for The Last Kingdom, who will both be speaking about the important work that Causeway does. Topping off this impressive line-up is Happy Mondays singer, Rowetta, who will be performing live.

This event “isn’t just for existing supporters”, says Causeway CEO, Ed Newton. “We’d love everybody who is passionate about ending modern slavery, exploitation and crime to grab a ticket and come along.” It’s sure to be a night to remember.

Tickets can be found here and for more information about Causeway and their work can be found here.
