Sheffield’s iconic Showroom Cinema is set to host the first UK preview of Bring Me the Horizon – L.I.V.E. in São Paulo (Live Immersive Virtual Experiment), a groundbreaking cinematic concert experience from the globally acclaimed band that hail from the Steel City.

Led by frontman Oli Sykes, Bring Me the Horizon formed in Sheffield in 2004 and became one of the most influential rock bands of their generation. Their multi-platinum selling albums garnered a 2024 Brit Award for Best Rock/Alternative Act, and multiple Grammy-nominations. Their sixth album “Amo” topped the UK album chart in 2019, while their most recent album, “Post Human: Next Gen” peaked at No. 2 in 2024 and was a critical, as well as commercial, success.

In a huge home-city moment, the popular independent Showroom Cinema will present the very first UK screening of the new concert film on Tuesday 17 March. Tickets for the special preview went on sale on Wednesday 11 February. Additional screenings will take place from Wednesday 25 and Saturday 28 March at the Showroom.

Presented by Trafalgar Releasing, alongside Sony Music Vision and RCA, “L.I.V.E. in São Paulo (Live Immersive Virtual Experiment)” captures Bring Me The Horizon’s biggest headline show to date, at São Paulo’s Allianz Parque Stadium in front of a sold-out crowd of 50,000 fans in November 2024. The perfectly crafted setlist that night in Brazil included all the fan favourites such as: “Can You Feel My Heart”, “Sleepwalking”, “Kingslayer”, “Drown”, and “Thrown”.

The film was co-directed by CiRCUS HEaD and Oli Sykes himself. The concert was designed specifically for the big screen, the film combines multi-camera footage, spectacular sweeping drone shots and over three thousand fan-submitted videos to create a fully immersive, multi-angle experience. It’s guaranteed to thrill both diehard fans and newcomers to the band.

Johnathan Ilott, Head of Programming at the Showroom Cinema, said: “Bring Me the Horizon are one of Sheffield’s best musical exports, so hosting the first UK screening at Showroom feels like a huge moment for the city. The film is a total spectacle. It’s the closest you can get to being in a stadium of 50,000 people without leaving Sheffield.”

Housed in a striking 1930s' Art Deco building opposite Sheffield station, the Showroom Cinema is one of Europe's largest independent cinemas and is Sheffield's only independently programmed cinema. It’s the perfect location to see one of Sheffield’s biggest bands on the big screen doing what they do best: rocking out!
